The fortnightly meeting of tho society took place at the conclusion of the annual meeting. The president Mr. F. Meadowcroft, was in the chair. The secretary reported that the pupils of tho Hikitaki School had forwarded another donation of 10s. Gd. to tho funds of the society. Tho inspector's report' dealt with three lame- horses, two horses with sores, two horses destroyed, and ime caso of over-working. He also reported on four cases to be brought before tho Court. Subscriptions received amounted to ,£7 195., including M In. each from Mr. W. Watson, C. Smith,-Ltd., and Iff. G. M. Kebbdl, and 10s. Gd. from pupils, Hikitnki (second subscription).
