FOR BEING PARTIES TO A STRIKE. Hr T«l«triM)h~Pn>«» AmnlallAD Nelson, October 27. At the Collingwood Magistrate's Court, Mr. J. S. Evans, S.M., entered convictions a?ainst; members of the North Capo Miners' 'Union, who were charged with being nartie.s to a strike. Tho Magistrate said the men struck at a time of coal shortage for something they knew to bo wrong. Twenty defendants were each fined .£5 and costs. Six others are to bo prosecuted later on. A man who refused to return to work and who was the cause, of tho strike was fired .L's for having broken a clause of (he agreement.
The death is announced ns bavin? taken place at Broomo Park, Betohworth. of Lady Louisa Feuding. She was the daughter of the third Marquess of Bath, and married, in 18G2, General the Hon. Sir Percy R. B. Fcilding, K.C.8.. son of the seventh Fad of Denbigh, and uncle of the present peer. She was left a widow in 1904, and was S5 years or age.
