MAGISTRATE'S COURT

There was a light charge sheet at the Magistrate's Court on Saturday, over which Air. E. Page, S.M., presided. On a charge of being an idle and disorderly person Evelyn Willis, a young woman, was sentenced to a month's imprisonment. A fine of .£3, in default of a week's •imprisonment, was imposed on Donald Robertson, a member of the crew of the steamer Baden Powell, for having used obscene language on the Queen's Wharf. Five first-offending inebriates were arraigned. Three were fined ss„ and the others 10s.
