To-morrow evening at Dustin's Rooms, Cuba Street, die Early Settlers' Association will bold another of its interesting gatherings. As on previous oc-, ensions, an informal meeting or happy-go-lucky night has been arranged lor. Many interesting incidents will be recalled, . many half-forgotten: in tlio long years . between, by those who forgather at these meetings. .Musical items will be given and refreshments served. There was a fino attendance at the Y.M.CA. social on Thursday night. Tho programme was a very good one, having been arranged by the Social Committee, who utilised some of tho costnmes that had seen service with tho concert parties at tho front, mid had since been sent out to the Y.M.CA. It is intended to hold these socials every two weeks as they are proving so popular. During the evening, Mr. Hay (genoral secretary) introduoed Mr. Lascolles, who has been added-to tho staff to look after the membership and social side of tho association. The Wellington Caledonian Society aro holding a grand concert in the Concert Chamber, Town Hall, on Wednesday. A very good programme is announced. To-morrow will afford visitors to AVoliington a splendid opportunity to do their shopping.
