FATHER O'DONNELL'S ARREST

PROTESTS AGAINST THREATENED DEPORTATION. London, October 23._ Mr, I/vch O'Hanlon has secured' a writ of habeas corpus to prevent the deportation of the Rev. Father O'Donnell. Father O'Donnell has cabled to Arch'bishop Mannix and Mr. W. MY Hushes, asking for their intervention. His message to Mr. Hughes declares that he wan maliciously arrested, and the British Government threatens to deport him to Australia without a chance of vindication. Ho adds (hat General Birdwood should bo asked to protect his rights against this disgraceful injuslice.-Aus.-N.H. Cable Assn.
