GERMANY'S WAR INDEMNITY
STEPS TO RECOVER WHEN TREATY RATIFIED. London, October 23.Tu tho House of Commons at question time Mr. Cecil Karmsworth, Under-Secre-tary for Foreign Affairs, stated that steps to recover tho war indemnity from Germany could not bo taken until tho Treaty was ratified; but much preliminary work had been dono by the committee representing tho principal Governments concerned. Deliveries under nancies four and five of the Treaty had commenced. Mr. W. C. Bridgemau, Secretary to tho Board of Trade, slated (hat. tho Government had been informed Hint Germany had no great quantity of goods to export at present.—Router.
