Y.W.C.A. NOTES
. A physical culture class for girls and young women is being hn.d at the V.W.C.A., Herbert Street, on Monday evenings. All sorts of health-giving and energising exercises aro gone through under the able instruction of the leader. There are still vacancies for more girls, so those desirous of joining should hand in their names at oncb. On Sunday next. Mrs. D. 0. M'Clay, Ijhe neirly-elected president of the Y.W.C.A., will bo the speaker at the service which is to take j/ace at Herbert, Street. A tm and social licmr 'will follow the service, when all gir's and young w'omen, especially thoso who may be visiting Wellington, are extended a hearty invitation to be present,. The usual "social" will be held at, the Y.W.C.A. club rooms to-night.. Miss Elsie Chapman and Miss Lnl Martin will be in charge of the musical and pvimes part of lh" programme, and the Olympic Club will hold the rcaponsicihty of the supper arraiigemonts. , ' Miss Ror«no9- Birch, who has oeen general secretary of tho Wollinston YW.C.A. for the past seven and a halt years, left-by the R-iverim on Thursday for a short holiday in Melbourne. From thencc she hopes to go to Amer.cn, returning next, year to take uu her new duties as travelling seeretaiy in Now Zealand. M ; ffi Lnwson has consented to act in the oapacitv of honorary general secretary of t.lie 'Wellington Association until the arrival of a general secretary from England. ,
