KIDNAPPED BY MEXICAN BANDITS
AMERICAN CONSUL HELD FOR • RANSOM. (Roc. October 24, 1.15 a.m.) Washington, October 22. The State Department announces that Mr. Willium Jenkins, American Consul at Puobla, Mexico, was kidnapped by three masked bandits, andi is now held for ransom for .£30,000. Tho Mexican Government has notified the State Department that it will do all possible to secu'vo tho liberation of Mr. Jenkins—Reuter.
