Tho Prime Minister said ho did hot think there would lie anv difficulty about buying oil fuel in bulk. Ho had inquired on t'<e iioint. already owing to the possibility ofßritish oil-burning cruiser being stationed in New Zealand waters. There was no doubt as' to the supply of oil, but difficulty arose from tho fnet that there were no reservoirs available in Now Zealand. Peservo'rs would liavo to be provided by the harbour boards or the shipping companies*. He had been [riven to understand that tlm Auckland Harbour Board contemplated the construction of a reservoir, and that (lie T'nion Comnany was considering doing the same thin,7. Ho would inquire on tho point.
