ON FIRE AT SEA
UNION CASTLE LINER MAKES MOMBASA. (Eec. October 21, 7.10 p.m.) Cape Town, October 20. The Union Castle liner Berwick Castle reached Mombasa on Wednesday with her coal bunkers on fire. The vessel was beached. Her fore part is completely gutted, and as the fire spread aft the operations were abandoned temporarily. The passengers were landed without casualties— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
