AMERICAN BANKERS' LOAN TO BRITAIN
$ FOR FIFTY MILLIONS. (Rec. October 21, 7.50 p.m.) New York, October 20. The .1. P. Morgan Company has announced that it is about to float in the TlirKl' States, on nf Britain, 250,000,000 dollars (,£50,000,000), on a five and a half per cent, bond issue. The bonds will be of two clashes, tlnce aiid ten-year currency. Part of the proceeds will' bo used to' pav off approximately 135.000,0 M (jC-27,000,000), at 51 per cent. United Kingdom notes maturing on November 1, and the remainder will ce available for (lie Government's requirements in the United States or for British merchants who may be able to buy through the dollar exchange.
