ALLEGATION AGAINST A PROHIBITION ORGANISER. By Teleirraph—Special Correspondent.' Palmorston North, October 21. A case in which a considerable amount of local interest was evinced was called on before Mr.' Stout, S.M., at the Magistrate's Court to-day, when A. ■W. Gallichan, traveller, ui Palmerston North, olaiuied from Herbert Grinstead, prohition organiser, tho sum of i'so for alleged damages. Tho plaintiff, in a statement of claim, set forth that ho was a commercial traveller and duly elected a minnber of the committee of the Campbell Street School. It was further alleged that on September 15, 1919, tlie defendant published in a letter addressed to Messrs. Cooper and Rutherford, Palmerston North, solicitors, the following wordsi of ami concerning the plain till: What X said was that I did not think Galhchan was a good man to be on a school comnuttee, as 1 had often seen him under the influence of liquoi.
