The Legislative Council yesterday granted leave of absence for the remainder of the session to the Hon. H. Wigram, who is in ill-health.

Cook returned from active rtcrvico on October 15. and resumed his old position as resident eecretapr for the Royal Insufhnce Company, Limited, i Wellington, on the day of his arrival.
