THE WEATHER
FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications are for northerly winds, strong to gale, backing to southerly shortly in the south. Weather becoming cloudy, unsettled, and boisterous, with ram following generally, heavy in many part 6. Barometer falling, but rise soon in the south. The barometer has fallen rapidly in the south to-day, and freshening westerly to northerly winds have prevailed. Scattered rains have been reported in the West Coast and southernmost districts, but fair to cloudy weather iuia ruled elsewhere. It. V. PEJtIIKRTON.
