Mr. H.. Mainland T>re»ided_ over the monthly meeting of the Wellington Provincial Industrial Association which was h"'d last evening, Tho resiTiiation of Mr. P. .1. Evans from the Standing Committee of the association owing to pressure of. business was accented with reeret. Mr. F. W. Vickerm'nn was appointed to represent tlm association on the Council of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce. The was desirous of altering Us title, and Willi that oMeet wrote to (the authorities, and a. reply .was reee'ved from the Secretary of InternalAffairs to the effect the'name was fixed by Act of Parliament, and not be altered except by legislation. The n««ociation wished to aiH tho word "Manufacturers" to Us title, but this, aeeording lo the official, reply, cannot ly> done. Mr. T. Ra.llinger was unanimously reelected a ren'wontaMvp of the accociation on tho Technical Education Board.
