Messages from Reval confirm the statement that Yudenitch has reached Petrograd, where he captured l utilofi Station, within five miles of the centre of the city. A telegram from Riga dated October 18 emphasises the value of the assistance given by four British and four French destroyers in driving back the Germanollussians from Riga. The vessels after a iwo hours' bombardment of the left linuk of the Dvina moved up the river, and tho Letts, covered by their fire, crossed tho river ami took the G fi'inan fort, while two British cruisers shelled the enemy's communications ten miles distant. "Vorwacrts" gives details of what it terms "German mercenaries' beastialities in Lithuania."- During an attack upon a college at Shavlen, the cavalry rushed tho college hall, mid tho soldiers bayoneted and bludgeoned teachers, boys, and girls. Many wero badly wounded. Tho cavalry later attacked pedestrians in the streets. The Jewish High School was similarly attacked and • the gji'ls trodden underfoot. Their would-ho rescuers wero also attacked, the cavalry riding them down. .Many were injured. "Vorwacrts" demands the punishment of tho officers concerned, including ! h« local commandant, von Diebitsch.—"Tho Times." ON KOLCHAFS FRONT 30,000 COSSACKS LIBERATED.' Omsk, October 19. Mr. Wilton reports that Red forces are arriving at Ekaterinburg, and preparing to transfer the capital from Moscow. Details of a battle on October 15 show that Kolchak took 5000 prisoners, and that the remainder of the Bolsheviki fell hghling. The commissaries treacherously rcattacked after offering an unconditional suirender. The annihilation of the Redo at Semirechia liberates over .'IO,OOO Cossiicks who previously had boeu cut off.
