CATHOLIC BAZAAR
At the Town Hall to-morrow night tho Catholic Bazaar will be formally opened l>y Her Excellency the Countess of Liverpool. A variety of entertainments havo been arranged, and various committees have for some time teen actively engaged in an endeavour to make this bazaar superior to anything yet attempted in WelFngton in the way of novelty of entortainment. Energetic committees of ladies have been busy arranging articles of use, of beauty, and rare' design, so, that the fancy stalls, -produce stalls, lollio stalls, will all be decked with the best of good things. Amongst the attractions in the way of entertainments the principal will lie a display of ferured danuing and taublwuix arranged by Jlii-" Barbara Putnam. About ono hundred young lading are taking part, and tho various grounines are said to lv veijpretty and effective. A feature which :'s arousing great interest in athletic circles is the tug-of-war tournament, for which 18 entries liavo been received. There will lie a musical programme each evening, and the usual s'de-shows and attractions.
