DEATH BY STRANGULATION. By Tole*raph—Prew Ansncution. Auckland, October 18. Thomas Hardiman was found dead in tho. lavatory at the Sailors' Home. A handkerchief was wmiml tightly round his neck, the ends of which he held in his hands. Death was caused by strangulation. According to papers he signed off tho steamer Durham as fireman at Wellington, on September 19, and apparently arrived here by train yesterdny. • At t.ho inquest tho Coroner 6aid it was possible that deceased had a seizure, arid adjourned tho inquest for a postmortem examination. Apparently deceased arrived in Auckland on Friday morning by train. ■
