: The opening of the rowing season will take placej this afternoon, and the president of the 'Wellington 'Mowing Association.; Sir Francis Bell, is to perform the •opening ceremony. During tho afternoon a. series of inter-club raccs; over -a short course along tho - Jervois Quay wilt lie helilj and some very .line [contests are cxpecled.- Jupp's Band Whl be in attendance to givo selections, 'and afternoon tojv is being provided by tho .various clubs- for ■ the re'sriectivo guests.
