Sweet- Memory was quickest to bogin, and, with Probate, who hung a lot, eho led into tho straight. She easily held- her own and ■won by a courilo of lengths from Elcullus, who finished fast and doad-heated withEnnea for second place. Probate- finished next, and Shamrock was closo up. " • Kipling was a good favourito in tho Flying Handicap, for whioh Murihikn ■was -withdrawn. At the start, which was ft good, one, Ermine, Chimera; and Kipling led out. Ermine and Trcntham Rose led into tho straight, whero Kipling ran to tho lead, but he'had to be rjdden right out to beat Ermine, yrho finished very well. Rose Wreath was fourth. Merrie Poto went at a very fast pace in the Onen Welter Handicat), and this Fcroadearied tho field. Loyal Arch and Red' Ribbon were iri tho places at the tnra into the straight, where the-leader, compounded. Loyal Arch then took charge and won easily from Red Ribton, •who just bout Zeus. Merrie -Poto was fourth. Tho ino.uired into some' interference Red Ribl»n met with at.the distance, but. decided not to disturb the judge's' verdict. ■ . Wonder was clear after they had- gone a furlong, and was first into the straight, whero Hymarty took charge and won after a good finish with Demades.
