INFECTIOUS DISEASES FOR WEEK. For the week ended at noon yesterday the following eases of infectious diseases were reported in the -Wellington health district (which takes in Taranaki, part of-Poverty- Jiajyand also Marlborough;:. ' fever, 1; diphtheria 30; . enteric 4; tuberculosis, 3; cerebrospinalmeningitis, 1; influenza, Bj. pneumonia, 3;. measles, 8. ; •. . • . ~ The outstanding feature of. the week 3 report is the notable drop in the num-. lier of influenza- cases as compared witli the tally for' several --weeks past. Out of- the ■ eight cases reported only one pneumonic case was recorded (from lavanakiV. Of the mild cases three were reported from Hawera, three from, the Wairarapa, and' ono from Wellington. •
