MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETS. • The Management Committee of the Wellington Cricket Association met last evening. Mr. C. G. Wilson presided. There was some discussion regarding the .failure of some clubs to use practice wickets, and it was decided to take steps to stop the neglect. Practice wickets on the Basin Reservo are available on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week. - . ' .'._'. A committee,' comprising Messrs. Crombie, M'Kenzie, and Willis, was set up to revise the rules of the association. It was decided that junior matches not commenced last Saturday lie commenced next Saturday, and be finished at a later date in tlio season. Kilbirnio Club was granted permission to enter a'team in-the junior competition, and one in she. third-fines competition. The sub-committee set up to inquire into the question of grounds for the Boys' Loaguo reported.that they .had interviewed the Reserves Committee and tho Director of Reserves, who had re-ceived-them, and granted their wishes. The association decided to make a grant' of i' 3 3s. to tho Boys' League funds to help to defray the cost of -.having wickets prepared for the-boys. It was decided to ask Wanganui to send a team to play a one-day match at Wellington on labour Day, Octob«»' 27. The meeting decided to ask tne senior and junior championship committees to draw a complete round of championship matches. The Umpires' Association is to bo instructed to enforce the rule relating to the starting of. matches. The time to start is IM p.m. The representative programme for tho season was submitted to committee and adopted as under:— . Wellington v. Canterbury, at Christohuroh, on December 25, 26. and 27. Wellington v. Otago, at Dunediu, 'on January 1, 2 and 3. Wellington v. Canterbury, at Wellington, January 30, 31 and February 2. Wellington v. Auckland, at Auckland, Feliruary 27, 28 and March I. Wellington v. Hawke's Bay, at Wellington, December 25 and 2G. It was decided to submit tho programme to the associations concerned. FIXTURES. Fixtures and grounds for Saturday are as under: Senior.
