POLICE CASES. Mr. E. Page, S.M., presided over yesterday's sitting of the Magistrate's Court. Daniel Michael Colton pleaded guilty to o charge of being a roguo and vagabond, in that ho was 'found by night without lawful excuso on enclosed premises known as No. 1 Howes Lane, the property of tho Wellington City Council. His Worship ontercd a. conviction and ordered accused to come up for sentence when called upon within 12 months. Four fiTst offenders for drunkenness were each fined 10s. For a liko' offence Florence Stewart was fined £1. MAINTENANCE CASES. Donald Maurice Vivian Albert M'Queon wm> found guilty of failing to maintain bis wife, Florence M'Queen, and was ordered to pay £1 per week and to pay costs £1 Is. Ellen Johnson was ordered to pay 2s. Gd. per week off accumulated arrears amounting to iIG 45., and to maintain current payments, John King Brown was ordered to find jv security for payments in respect of a maintenance order which had fallen into arrears to tho extent of iG Gs. Claude Watson, whose Arrears in respect of a maintenance order amounted to JJ3 18s., was sentenced to one month's imprisonment, warrant to bo suspended 60 Jong as current payments aro maintained and 3s. per week is paid oft' tho arrears. Charles E. Storie was ordered to pay 'M per week towards tho maintenance of his wife.
