Stephanotis,* who was recently bought, for 210 guineas; is trained by the former New Zenltinde.r, D. Price, who also trained the Welter Handicap winner, Queen Comedy. Both' are owned bv Mr. S. BlackwolS. Surveyor was favourite in tho Canlfield Stakes. Ho led with Mistico' to the turn, whore ho •was apparently beaten, and was not persevered with. Nightwatch ivas third to last in the early part of the race, but iron easily. He is now a. Btrong fancy for tho Gaulfidd Cup.
