Parry, Harold Goring, Ernest Goring (NorthEast Valley), R. Stewart (Caversham), and T. Iv. Ewen (Berhampore) were admitted to Ministerial membership qf tlio union. Tlio Rev. R. S, Gray (Dunedin), secretary of tho union, stated that at the last conference it had been decided to givo a war bonus to married ministers whose salaries did not exceed Tho appeal for funds for this purpose had been fruitful to tho extent uf .£315. Ono dpnor of ',£lO suggested that a similar appeal should be made at this conferenec.. The suggestion was acted upon, and he was pleased to state that .£l9O had been collected. It was pointed out that tho Sustentntion Fund was not yet in operation, and tho high cost of living did not assist ministers. Every minister knew how difficult it was to maintain th» margin between what ho received and his exponsos. Ministers were not thinking of themselves but of tliir wives and children. It was decided that an evangelist should bo appointed, and the Rev. S. Beckingham was offered tho position. Ho intimated that he would givo tho matter consideration, It was reported that tho annuity fund bad a orcdit balance of <£1913.
