The Featherston Borough Council has set up a committeo consisting ol' the Mayor and Councillors A. C. Holms (deputy), B. S. Yclverton (acting treasurer), and F. W. Smith to submit proposals as to drainage finance in view of raising a loan for additional requirements. Two months' leave of absence was granted Councillor Holms, whose office aa treasurer is being filled by Councillor Yelverton.
