The Wellington, Hataitai, and Lyall Bay Clubs will open their greens for the season at 2.15 p.m. His Excellency tho Governor-General is to preside at the opening of tho Wellington Club. _ The Wellington Bowling Club will hold its opening ceremony to-day in spite of the fact that it will be impossible to play on the greons. A musical programme lias been arranged.The official opening of' the Seatoun Club has been deferred until Saturday next. THE LYALL BAT CLUB. Providing the weather is propitious, the Lyall Bay Bowling Club will open its season this afternoon at the club's grounds, Lyitll Bay.' Invitations to bo present at the opening of the season have beqn extended- to members and residents of the district, and ill viow of the increased membership and promising materia'!) among the juniors, tho dhtb this year anticipates a vory successful season. Tho usual club games will be played off during the season, an early 6t'art being promised: This year a president's trophy will be presented to tho winner of the champion singles. Another matter of interest to club members is the question of tho erection of a story to the club's pavilion. This matter will b« discussed at a forthcoming meeting.
