MEETING OP THE WELLINGTON BRANCH. The usual monthly meeting of the Wellington Branch of the Navy Leaguo was held yesterday, there being present, i ol ? n , cl v G ' &ft Cim l )M1 &' the i n P' Mrs. Darling, Mrs Braduey Williams, Mrs. Earle, and Mrs. Laurenson, Colonel Boberts, Captain Cludleigh, Messrs. Smith, Foster, Wiren, Shallcrass, Hollis, Underwood, Palmer and Darroch (lion, secretary). An apology for absence was received from Mrs luchardson.
Ihe resignation of Mr. J. B. Harcourt horn the office of president, which he had held for the last twelve years, was received with regret. M «- Darling, reporting on the work of the Navy League Ladies' Auxiliary said that the auxiliary had bad a most successful year.' Mrs. Hosking had been elected president for the coming year In connection with the visit of H'.M.S Now Zealand, the auxiliary had the pleasure of meeting Lady Jellicoe. who had recommended to the" favourable interest of members the Women's United Service League and the Royal Navv Fund.

The school membership is now 4GflO. The sub-committee entrusted with the arrangements for Nelson Day reported progress. A very successful celebration is anticipated. , It was decided to arrange for the annual meetins to be held in the last week in November. . Mr. C. Tf. Smith, who is about to vfcH Svdney. was asked to convev'a mosstrre of gmting to the New South WaK branch. Mr. Stark, of the Atlas Assurance Co., was elected a member of the branch.
