Mr. D. M'Kenzio. a member of Min Wellington Cricket Association, waited on tho ReseiTes Committee of the City "Council yesterday afternoon to piri'ci , a matter in connection with tho Boys' I Cricket J.oague. Mr. M'Keime stalnl that the association was out to help the league, which this season would have about dO teams of players under eighteen years of age. They were provided with' certain grounds, whicii were cut and marked, but nni: rolled. All lie wanted was the permission of the committee to consult due council's groundsman us to passing tlio roller over such grounds so as lo lake out the bumps. Councillor Frost (cluiirmnn), on behalf of tho committee, said there was no objection to that beinjj done. 'L'ho committee was only too pleased to do all that it could to assist. ~ ■ The annual meeting of the Welllnjtloti Amateur Athletic Club is to take place in the Y.M.C.A. rooms on October 15, nt 8 p.m. To remove a Bad Cold take "NAZOL" on sugnr, which should be dissolved in the mouth.
