TIMBER SHIPMENTS
INADEQUATE TO MEET BEQUIKEMENTS. By Telegrarh—iPress Association. Gmy.moutli, October 7. During the last ffirec months seven million feet of timber were shipped from Grevmouth to different parts of New Zealand. But sufficient tonnage ia not procurable, therefore shipments are inadequate to meet "tlie building requirements of Chri*tchurch and Wellington. Local millers have large quantities ready for shipment, and intend to approach the Board of Trade to t-ecuro further shipping. Complaints are made regarding flic slow discharge of vessels, partly due to shortage of trucks.
