A NEW PARTY EVOLVING FROM WAR GOVERNMENT. Ottawa, October 4. Tlie Primo Minister (Sir Robert Borden) proposes to form a new political party as tho outgrowth from tho Unionist War Gorernmont. The cardinal principles of tho party will include tho maintenance of the British connection on tho basis of equal partnership with the Motherland within tlio Em pi re j the autonomv of the Dominion and suprom'acy of parliament in all questions, including war, to bo safeguarded; the retention of a standing army of sufficient size only to meet domestic requirements; in future ware Canada to be consulted by the Motherland , as an. essential preliminary to aid being expected. 'Sir Robert Borden suggests that the Government should carry on till'the next spring session. If this programme is then declared unsuitable Parliament to dissolve next April; otherwise the pre- ' sent administration to continue until I l')'> 2 without a dissolution of Parliament.. —Aus.-N.Z.
