Senator Gardiner announced definitely 'that the Federal elections will be held on .December IS. Mr. Storey, the Now South Wales Labour leader, stated that the' Stato Nationalists were' accumulating: a fund of a quarter of a million, to fight tho Labour Party. Notable among the speakers wero Dean Talbot (Anglican) and leather O'Reilly (Roman Catholic), both of whom strongly advocated the need for better social conditions and a more equitable share of the fruits of labour for tho workman.—Aus.-N.Z.
