FOR N.Z.E.F. CERTIFICATE OF 'SERVICE. Tho following awards have been niado ii* regard to the certificate for OTersens scrvice:—First prize (,£SO) to R-. Hawcvidgo, School of Art, Dunedin; second prize (£,2 a) to L. Rykere, 31 Albert Road, Devonport, Auckland. Four special merit, prizes of JCS each to E. J. Skolton, "New Zealand IIoKild," Auckland; E. 3t. Fuller, Itaines Advertising Agency, Dalgcty Building, Wellington; P. BagnaJl, "New Zealand Herald," Auckland; and "Tui B." Two special merit prizes of >£2 10a. each to Trevor Lloyd; Burgess Road, Devonport, Auckland; and W. Bnverstoclc, Christchureh "Press" Comapny. No award has been made in connection with tho certificate for home service, as it was not considered that anv drawing submitted combined a. suitable design with work of sufficient srtistic merit. Fresh designs will be called for.

Neilsen and Co., at Matatera, the district has lost another of its pioneers, and a citizen who was highly esteemed for his integrity and business ability.
