POLICE OFFENCES BILL
Sir.—This Bill now before Parliament presents an opportunity (not before apparently sought) to deal with the scandal ■known-v-as "tho single-rooia - brothel," which our wise interpreters of tho law, as it- stands, have decided, is not a brothel. •If the opportunity is not taken, and the necessary . amendment made.. the fact will, be a curious commentary on our legislators. Do they think tho law should. remain as at present interpreted?—-Lam, etc., ■ j . .; . . JOHANNA. .October 2. ■•■■
