GALLOPS AT RANDWICK. (Eec. October 2, 5.5 p.m.) Sydney, October 2. At Randwick, for tho final gallops, the weather was fine and the track in good order. On the middle grass track Rossini bent Afterglow over five furlongs in lmin. tsec. Sydney Damsel, with : a .light-weight lip, went six furlongs in lmin. llisec. Wolaroi did seven fuV longs in lmin. 29Jscc., and Gambler's Gold (light-weight up) the sanio distance in lmin. 28sec. Rebus covered a mile in lmin. 43sec.. and Cotingc beat Biplano over a mile in lmin. J3scc. Toison d'Or did nine | furlong? in lmin. SOsec., and' Artilleryman one mile and a quarter in limin; 12$ sec. At Victoria Park Carbern galloped three furlongs in 45;ec. Golden Bubble (without shoes) did one mile nnd ii quarter In 2mint 12sec., which equals the cf-. tort of Sasaiiof\ over (lie same course. NEW ZEALAND' HORSES NOT FARING WELL. (Kec. Optober 2, 9.10 p.m.) Sydney, October 2. The final acceptances for the A.J.C. Derby total ten.. There are no New Zealand horses. For the; Epaoiu Ilandicaii there are nineteen ncceptors,, including Biplane; for tiw Aletropolilan Handicr.p thirty, including i'inmitrk, Afterglow, Archmarella, aim' British Arch.! Tho New Zealand horses aro not faring too well. Out of six brought over by J ones, three are reported amiss. Golden Bubliio has split heels, and will probably miss the spring engagements; Spanner is poro: Tiiunnha is unwell. Sasanof, Surveyor, and Delight are all right,—Press Assn.
