KAEOBI CLUB'S OPENING. Tho Karori Bowling Club opened its season on Saturday afternoon under very Kiroumble weather conditions, and with a large attendance of bowlers mid their friends. The full eight rink:! were occupied with visiting players and meinbers of the. locai'. club, and altogether, the opening was the most success! ul the su'btirbnii club has had for 6omii years, and augurs well for a good playing season. 'J'he green was in fairly good order. The president, Mr. AV. C. Cooper, delivered « happy, little speech.' -Mrs. Cooper throw up tho first jack. During the afternoon refreshments were served by a committeo of ladies, consisting of Mest'ames Bradnock, Burn, Cooper, Crawford, Dryden, Henderson, and M'Pherson, ;he pavilion being gaily decorated with (lags and tho tables effectively and handsomely dressed with (lowers of the. club's colours, tho dispfoy gaining much prais* from the visiting bowlers.
