During July at a sale of prize pedigree stock of Berkshire pigs from the farm of Mr. A. Hiscock a celebrated breeder of Diii-sct (England), some hhph prices were obtained. .One sow—Manor Columbine— realised 185 guineas. In all 91 animals were sold. Berkshires averaged over .filll each, and middles J:'11 10s., the total proceeds from 91 pig? being .t'3215 lis, Purchasers included His Majesty the King, Duke of Westminster, Earl ot Carnarvon, Lord Stalbridgc, and other well-known men.
