TE HIWI BOWLING CLUB
ANNUAL MEETING,
The annual meeting of Te Hiwi Bowlinpf Club was held last night. The annual report states that during last season an important innovation was made in the conduct of the club, in so far as no inter-clu'b game 3 were played. Tho war conditions at tlie time mado it somewhat difficult to carry out, tho club's usual programme, but jiow that the position is approaching nownaS, the" incoming committeo might consider tho question of reviving tho friendly inter-club contests which liave been so enjoyable in tho past. The singles championship contest for the Georgetti Challenge Cup was participated in with some degree of keenness by a number of members. The winner was eventually found in Mr. W. AVylio. In tho Dominion tournament, Te Hiwi team again played a prominent part, and met with a similar experience to that of somo of its predecessors, by being beaten just in ;tho final stages of the tournament. Tho committeo welcome back Mess'rs. A. E. Duncan and William Wiggins, the two members who have served in fcho oveasea forces. The balance-sheet shows that the cflub has ill Os. 4d. e.ish in haiid. The total outstanding credit is 10s. 4d. Tho election of officers resulted as follows:—Life president, Mr. C. Hill, sen.; life vice-president",'' Mr. E, J. Hill; Executive Committee, Messrs. W.
