THE WEATHER
FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P,H, YESTERDAY, Present indications are for modorate to strong southerly winds in'tho northernmost districts, and strong and squally north-west to south-west winds elsewhere. Weather becoming cloudy and unsettled generally, with rain probable, especially southward of New Plymouth and CVistiepoint. Barometer, a falling tendency, but rise in the south 600n. Barometric pressure has decreased in the south, and southerly breezes havo given place to freshening westerly and northerlies in and southward of Cook Strait.
