HARBOUR BOARD
The monthliy meeting of the Wellington Harbour Board was held last evening. J.hoi-0 wore present: The chairman (Mr. ii- Messrs. J. AV. MTJwan, n' Wcl cll > J ' G - Cobbe, M. Cohen, C. H. Clwpman, C, E,. Daniell, R, E. ?« l i C Turrell, and Captain C. M Arthur. The bank pass-books disclosed the following credits:—Current account, 403 ss. 2d. : imprest account, .64614 3s. •' on h.\f<l deposit, 000. •Tiaymonts as per schedules were approved as follow:—For accounts, claims, and wages, «£23,07G 14s. 3d.; progress payments on contracts, c£3G4 3*. 3d!: salaries for September;' "jBIIBOV7s. lid. recommendations 'from tho Wharves and Accounts Committee were adopted: —(l) To consent to transfer of foreshore license No. 7G, boat slip, Bafena Bay, from G. F. Bothamler and AV. Birnie to Berkeley Clarke and J. B. Webb, and to affix seal,to documents. (2) To authorise tho secretary to call for teni or i lcaf ? of liookstall, Quwn'fl Wharf, for thrto years from December l^o ,,f !r^n ' : t'w application ot tho City Council for alteration of align- * mint of piece of foreshoi'e at Oriental Bay, subiect to the approval of tho Gov-ernor-in-Council.
