Humane, Society a bronze 'medal was awarded' Geoffrey Parker for attempting to resouo Maria Evans from drowning at Taylor's Mistake on March IG. In .connection with the same fatality framed certificates were awarded Eugene Francis Burns, Alfred Barrett, Ernest Bollinger, William. Shaw, and Lawrence Alexander Dow. ' Silver medals wore awarded Arthur Brondy (for; .saving F. W. R. .Sargent from drowning at Nortlicota, Auckland), and William Swift (for rescuing' Phil Swift _ and Bert. I'etiierbridge from drowning in Cohden I/agoo'n, Greymouth). Bronze medals were awarded Frances Brown and Margaret Brown (for saving lite at Fitzroy, Now Plymouth), and Florence Roberta O'Neill (for resouing Violet Ella Robinson from drowning at kick's Beach,' Takapuna). An in memoriam certificate was awarded in tho caso of Samuel Colin CrowUier, who lost his life in attempting to savo William George Wright from drowning in Wnikato Rivet, Tauno. Framed certificates for rescuing lifV at Palmcrston, Otago, and attempting to save life at Durgavillo wero awarded William Henry Bayly and Idris Wynne Parry respectively. . Certificates wero awarded James M'Quinlan (Mercury Bav), George Bennett (Wellington), Archibald Black (Wellington), William Inglis Wright and Thomas Donnelly Lewis (Wellington), and George Frederiok Dobson (Nelson), Letters of commendation wero awarded Dorothy Olina Nordstniud (Oncrehi) and A. S. Thompson (Pareora).
