ANNUAL MEETING. Ssj TbleicraDli—Priißß Auoclatlon. Wairoa, September 23. At the annual meeting of the Wairoa Meat Company it was decided to send a telegram lo the Government asking when a detailed survey of the WairoaWaikokopu'railway line would bo completed, as the district's prosperity is depending on its early completion. Tho Meat Company had a very successful season, putting through nearly 131,000 sheep, lambs; and cattle. Thb surplus ou the year's- working was' over .£17,000, and a dividend of 7 per cent, was declared. The'new directors elected were Messrs. J. Withell, W. Goldsmere, and R. E. Barton.
