THE WEATHER
FORECAST AND SUMMARY
AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications are for moderate to strong southerly to westerly -winds and cold, changeable weather generally, with scattered ehowers. Tho barometer hail a. rising tendency, but falling soon in the extreme south. Fair weather ruled on Saturday, but cloudiness increased on Sunday, and rain has since fallen in many parts of tho country and snow on some of tho higher lovels in tho South Island.
