NELSON (5) v. WELLINGTON (2),
A representative hockey game • was played oil Kurori Park yesterday afternoon between teams representing Nelson aud Wellington and was probably the most uninteresting game seen on the Park this season. There was a steady drizzling rain all the afternoon, aud tho ground was greasy, with bo result hat the players could scarcely keen their eet. Nelson'had the best of the same throughout, and Wellington *a» fo J tH f" a" in scoring at all. ' Tho homo tea u secured the ball from the b?«y-»&"4 the forwards, led by Blackie, attacked strongly for the first five minutes. IsclSon retaliated then, and irain.a_ corner thit JflUyman scored. t.iv6-andi-tako ft followed but Nd*n *&* *?& ffiinitiative,- ami Wilson «RBto«l tho to Wellington. Shortly after resuming Jellvnnin again scored for Nelson, and this'was followed very soon afterwards by Amos further increasing the score of tho visitors. Even play followed for a short* while, and finally Hood sent in a Eoal for the home team. .There was very littlo time left for play,.but it proved long enough for tho visitors to secure another goal, Wells scoring. The game ended: Nelson, 5; Wellington, 2. Tho referees were Messrs. Pragnell and Edwards.

The weather was very wintry, and showers fell during the afternoon. The ground was very heavy. Canterbury B beat Auckland by 4 goals to 2; Oimtorbivry A beat Man.iivatu by 1 goals to nil; Wiiuganud beat Wellington by 4 goals to 2.
