4 •. By Telcßrnrh.—Press Association. Taiimarunui. September 22. A man named J. 0 Donnell was arrested on Saturday, fifty miles north of Tβ Awaniutu, iHiile on Hm way to Rotorua. It is alleged that ho went to a house at Matiere on the night of September W and attempted a serious assfiult on a woman, and while- the latter Trent for assistance, attempted a similar assault on, the woman's daughter.. Accused whs employed on the Stratford Main Trunk railway construction between Okahukura and Matiere.
