There was a good attendance at the wool sales, and good competition for all sorts. At yesterday's sales lull rates were realised, and fine crossbreds were Tory firm. New Zealand wools, branded, "Olarenco" realised top price, G6d.; average, 64Sd. AUSTRALASIAN WOOL IN AMERICA. London, eeptcmbor 18. It iB officially announced that the British Government ia auctioning 50,000 bales of Australasian wool at Boston at the end of November. It is believed that further such auctions will be held monthly in America. It is understood that the congestion of the ports, the difficulties with the woolcombers, and the question of sottliug the exchange partially explain the decision.—Kcuter. THE METAL MARKETS. (Rec.
