BILL IN FEDERAL HOUSE. Molbourne, September 19. In the Houso of Representatives, Mr. W. Al. Hughes, in moving the first reading of the' Nauru Island Bill, staled that Britain and Australia would each take 42 per cent, of-tho phosphalo deposits, and New Zealand would Bet the halanee-lG per cent. The administration of the island would bo vested in an Administrator, and the -first Administrator would be appointed by the Australian Government for a'term of fue years. All the expenses would 1m i>:ih> out of the proceed* of the side of (lie nliosphates. In addition to the Administrator, a board of three coninn.-sioncis would be appointed, each Government selecting one. Apart from Britain, A us-, tralia, and New Zealand, Nauru plus-, phales would not be supplied to any oilier country, except with the unanimous consent of the three commissioners.—Press Assn.
