On Thursday evening a team from H.M.S. New Zealand fimd a match with, a team from No. 7 Comiany.of the ftail-v-av .Engineers, resulting in a win for tho latter team by 22 points. Conditions were: 25 yards range, term of seven men, 10. shots'with, optional sighter, serviceconditions, "p6ssiblo" •«'. A shooting matcli was held on Wednesday between the Suburbs Club and a team from H.M.B.' Mew Zealand, 'resulting in a wiu tor the Suburbs Club by nine points. The conditions' were seven shots and an. optional sighter. at 500 yards. The New Z< aland. team also competed for a gold medal piesemco by Mr. J. G. Newton to tho highest 6corer. In the evening a social was tendered to the members of the warns by a committee of- lady supporters of the club. During the evening, the Mayoress, Mrs. J. P. Luke, lady patron of tho club, presented the medal for the highest 6core. to Midshipman Home. Several items were contributed by members of the New Zealand team, including it hnka by two sailors, which won well merited applause.
