REPORT OF A TRUANT OFFICER. Br Tclecratih—Press Astoclatlon. . Dunndin, September 18. The question of child labour was again be ore the Education Board to-day, when the truant, officer submitted a report howing thk 365 children in city and Suburban schools were engaged in varous occupations before •ndfte school .hours. Some boys were obliged to rise as early as 3 a.m. and.work 381 hours weekly for a wage of twelve shillings. Others working shorter hours were earn-'inu-from'lis. to 3s. '■ , . ■.. The board resolved to send conies of tte report to the Education Department and the Labour Department.
