THE WEATHER
FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications are for strong southwest winds northward of New Plymouth and Napior, and westerlies with a southerly tendency shortly elsewhere. Weather changeable and squally generally with scattered showers, particularly in the West Coast districts. Barometer unsteady. Atmospheric pressure has continued low in the far south and strong and squally ■south-west-and'west winds nave predominated.
